A week ago I arranged to change my…

A week ago I arranged to change my prescription collection to tesco pharmacy, Cheltenham, after numerous mistakes with my previous pharmacy. The lady was very helpful and sorted it all out including letting my gp know. That same day I get a text to say my prescription is ready. So yesterday, on my weekly shopping trip, I collect it. And find that all my medication is now in sync. Instead of running out at different times, I can get it all in 1 go. Considering I am on 5 different lots, it will make it a lot easier. So my thanks to the pharmacy staff.

Ridiculous new policy

Ridiculous new policy. Just unpacked four home delivery boxes in my hall and then carried the goods to the kitchen. Clinically vulnerable and elderly. Shame on you Tesco, this isn’t about the environment it’s a cost cutting ploy. Well here’s a cost cut for you, this shopper is going elsewhere- disgusted.

more expensive than the retail price..?? …

after years of thinking tesco mobile were a good network because of them not raising tariffs mid contract, it turns out that they don't need to because they already over charge you for the device you choose as part of your contract, i think its a disgrace actually, all they say is they have different tariffs for different times of the year, which is nonsense, the handsets are always more expensive than the retail price. plus their selection of phones is a joke too..

I am sorry that I had to waste 2 hours - Unfriendly and Harassing management

I am sorry that I had to waste 2 hours (including a 15 minutes que) and my nerves in Tesco, this will never happen again! I will tell you the story of the Tesco Watford lower High street management. I have tried Yesterday to buy 100 Easter eggs for charity. I went to one of the Manager guys standing on that aisle and I asked him what I want. He did not mention that I am not allowed to buy 100, he said: 'This is all we have on the shelf!' I have started to put the eggs on the trolley. He was there, but he said nothing. Then, when I have finished, I came out of the aisle and one Woman Manager working for Tesco said, this is what you are allowed, you should not put anymore eggs in your basket! I said OK and I left to do some personal shopping. Obviously, I was carrying the Easter eggs with me around the aisles, and no employee offered any help or possible asked me to leave the trolleys safe until I do my shopping. Towards the end of my shopping, I was near the Household aisle, the man that I asked first, came to me and said - you are not allowed to buy so many eggs, but he did not specify how many I am allowed. Not to mention the way he spoke to me was rude. I just asked him – why did you let me go round with the eggs, why did you not tell me from the beginning – He said ‘I told you!’Then, I thought, I will go to the till and see how many I am allowed and leave the rest at the till. When I arrived at the till, the guy just appeared behind me and said to me - 'I told you that you are not allowed to buy so many!' (I felt that he followed me around everywhere – I did not know that Managers are supposed to act as policemen, following customer and really I felt harassed – I was not going to steal it at the end of the day I going was paying for the eggs). I said I know, but I will leave at till the eggs that I am not allowed to buy (I was thinking possibly, I will be allowed to buy at least 50). Then the bomb shell came. He said, you are allowed to buy only 6!! And then He said – I told you so from the beginning! I have asked him, maybe I misunderstood you, but then why did you let me to put the eggs in the trolley and let me carry 2 trolleys full of eggs around the store? Then I asked, why did you not specify that I am allowed to have 6 eggs only? He replied ‘You did not ask me how many you are allowed!’ I was like ‘really’? I told you how many I needed, you could have told me that I am allowed only 6!! However, Since when there was a limit? There was no label on the aisle specifying how many eggs you are allowed to buy. Not to say that I felt that he did this in purpose – I felt that he followed me around the store and I felt his attitude was revengeful and very unprofessional. Then, why they don’t get their act together? The Woman told me that I am allowed only what I had in the trolley and then he said I am allowed only 6! So, obviously I left everything there, including my shopping and went to buy from somewhere else. I felt that all the employees that I dealt with on the day were very rude or unhelpful and I think this is due to management. So, I pledged, that I will not shop at Tesco Watford LOWER High street until the management does not change.I went to Lidl in Watford – The Manager was very professional and kind. He said I can buy how many I want as there is no limit. I was able to leave the trolleys with one of the people at the security until I did my shopping and also one of the employees came and helped me with the trolleys. And guess what LOL – the same Eggs which cost £3 in Tesco – I purchased for £2.79 in Lidl!!! So, I saved money as well!!!

Good - but short use by/best before dates

I have been getting Tesco groceries delivered for about 7 months now. The service and availability is good. The one thing that makes it likely I will stop using the service however is the short use by/best before dates on a number of items. I have phoned about it a few times but nothing really changes. Every week there's a short use by or best before date.

On the whole OK BUT

On the whole the click and collect is quite good BUT quite often I have collected items and the use by date is the day of collection which is of no use to anyone. They have in place notes on the order procedure which I do use and state on certain items use by date must be of a certain time and say that if not, item is no good to me. Yet these notes seem to be ignored. Again with fruit and vegs state need to be firm as need them for a couple of days time but I have collected ones that have been soft and gone off on the collection day. You can refuse items but this means that you then have to go into the actual store to pick up the items you have returned. When vulnerable during Covid and am using the click and collect facility this is not ideal. So please can the pickers take note of any notes that a customer might add that they actually read them.

Customer mistake sorted by nicola

Made a mistake with my order using click and collect instead of van delivery.Lady at Irvine store called Nicola went out of her way to ensure my order was delivered to Kilmarnock on the same day. By rights, if not collected at Irvine , I should have no groceries. Fabulous service from a lovely lady. Well done Nicola!
